The Roman Forum is a town square in the historical center of Zadar and it is one of the largest squares in the Adriatic.

The square was built from the 1st century BC until the 3rd century AD, and the builder was the First Roman Emperor Augustine. The square is consisted of two decorative monumental pillars out which one was the „pillar of shame“in the Middle Ages. Once upon time on the south side of the Forum there was a basilica which served for numerous public functions.
