The Prince Palace in Zadar dates back to the 13th century. During its existence it has been restored many times, while in the 17th century Providor Palace was built on its left side. Those two palaces represented the center of the government for Dalmatian within Austrian part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The Prince Palace was the cultural center of Zadar. Namely, it had the role of library, music and ballet school and the concert hall. Unfortunately, during the Civil War it was heavily damaged and it is currently under restoration. The Prince Palace is attractive nowadays because of numerous exhibits, concerts, theatre shows, international film festivals held within it. Attractive space and rich cultural program are definitely good enough reasons to visit this palace
