Krka national park is located in the area of Šibensko-kninska County, and some of the most beautiful parts of this par are the river flows of Krka and Čikola.  The river Kreka springs from the foot of mountain range Dinare.

Its luxury comes from seven travertine waterfalls which are a natural karst phenomenon worth of admiration. The mentioned waterfalls are: Bilušića Buk, Brljanski Slap, Manojlovac, Rošnjak, Miljacka, Roški Slap and Skradinski Buk which is the biggest waterfall on the Mediterranean (46 meters high). One special adventure you must experience is the boat ride to the Visovac Islet which is home to the Franciscan monastery and church, Roška waterfall and Krka monastery. The boat ride is organized throughout the touristic season, but it can be arranged with the local transporters anytime.

This park is open to visit during the entire year, while in the summer months, swimming and refreshment in clean water is possible. While planning your visit, please take into consideration that the park area is 109 square kilometers and that some destinations are distant from another or separated by natural barriers.
